Richard Soluk (CPP+ MRS technologist - based at the UofA) - holds a PhD in particle physics and has had over ten years of experience as a detector technologist with additional experience in detector design with GEANT3/4 and CAD. His main contributions over the past ten years include:
- Lead technologist on the design, construction and installation of the ATLAS-LUCID lumi monitor
- Lead technologist on the design, construction ATLAS-LUCID upgrade quartz fibre readout
- Technical Coordination of the ALTA Educational Cosmic Ray array program
- Lead technologist on the design, construction and installation of LUCID Phase-0 upgrade
- Manager of the Radon Free Laboratory construction
- Lead technologist for acrylic and rope interactions for SNO+ construction
- Technical Coordination of the ALTA Educational Cosmic Ray array program
- Installation of DEAP acrylic ball light-guides
- Initial installation and calibration of MoEDAL Nuclear Track Detectors and Time Pix detectors
